When we first spoke
I knew I could trust you
And then when we met
Fear tried creeping in
You said a few words
That opened my mind and my heart
It did not take long
To reel me back in
God told me you were the one

The Lord asked me to wait
And allow things to unfold

We are made up of the same essence
And when I’m in my head
You remind me to pray
Which brings me back to presence
Our love is unconditional
Our love is real
Our love is what I’ve prayed for
For many many years
You are not only my friend
You are my partner in Christ
You are the love of my life
