When things don’t go the way I expect them
I get a bit disappointed
I have to be so strong
To keep myself calm and collected
But there are times I break down
Like I did tonight
And all I can do is pray
For God to protect me
For when I feel low
That’s when darkness creeps in
And if I’m not careful
That’s when I start to sin
Oh God please protect me
To keep the darkness out
And please do forgive me
For allowing it in
