I always had fears
Of not being liked by others
I have so much love to give
And wished it was the same for all
I take others hurt so personally
Not understanding it’s not me
They may not know the love of Christ
And it is my time to show them
By loving each other
Even when it hurts
We are following God’s word
“Love each other as I loved you”
As it’s written in John 15 verse 12
He no longer calls us his servants
But we are now called his friends
What a blessing
There is no greater love
He begins to say
“To lay down one’s life for one’s friend”
