Wives shall submit to their husband
As it is written in Ephesians 5:22
But who knew that it was really
So difficult to do
I’ve been independent all my life
Took care of myself and such
I never really realized
Marriage can be so much
Don’t get me wrong
I love my dear Evan
Whenever I am with him
It feels like heaven
In the eye of our Heavenly Father
One plus one does not equal two
You need to really understand
It’s not about “me” and “you”
Marriage is about being in union
One plus one is actually one
When you’re in covenant with God
So you know you have won
“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.”
